PA – Regional Artists Open Up Their Studios for Art Crawl – – State College News


MILESBURG — Studio Adventures, a self-guided tour of regional artists’ studios, will be held on Saturday, August 10, from noon to 5:30 p.m., with stops in Bellefonte, Milesburg, Unionville, and Julian.
Benjamin Fehl, Mary Vollero, Brienne Brown and Susan Nicholas Gephart are welcoming local visitors and patrons of the arts to join them in an afternoon of creative fun and artistic interest. Visitors visit these local studios and chat with the artists,, who will be on site.
“The tour is our version of an urban gallery crawl,” Fehl, a co-organizer of the event, said in a news release. “We’re delighted to meet and talk with Centre County residents and help them experience our work.”
There are four stops along this creative artistry crawl. Susan Nicholas Gephart’s studio is located at 351 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte. Benjamin Fehl’s studio is at 204 Market Street, Milesburg. Brienne Brown’s studio can be found at 1275 Mudlick Road, Julian. Mary Vollero’s studio is located at 100 Mechanics Street, Fleming, with parking available at 180 W. Union St., Fleming.

About the Artists
Susan Nicholas Gephart spreads her love of creating art in nature to all ages through her teachings and has been instructing pastels since the mid 80’s. Her art and workshops are advertised in “Pastel Journal,” “Plein Air Magazine,” and Fine Art Connoisseur.
Benjamin Fehl’s studio art exhibition and Crooked House project in Milesburg is a sculpture that examines the essence of home by recreating a 19th century era house. Located in the back of The Crooked House is his art studio, where he will be showing his work.
Brienne Brown’s passion is watercolor and plein air painting. She holds signature membership status in the National Watercolor Society, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, and Utah Watercolor Society. Her work has been published in “Splash 17 Best of Watercolor: Inspired Subjects,” “PleinAir Magazine,” and “Watercolor Artist Magazine.”
Mary Vollero’s Pink Church is a historic church turned art studio/performance house, where there will be exhibitions of art in gallery form and a live music event at the end of the day.
