Arlington Heights Art Guild Hosts 48th Annual ‘Walk In The Park’ Art Fair – Journal & Topics Newspapers Online

A Walk In The Park, the annual Arlington Heights Art Guild art fair, will return for its 48th year from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at North School Park, 410 N. Arlington Heights Rd.

This year, over 80 juried artists are expected to participate in the fair, representing a variety of mediums. Work will include oil paintings, watercolor paintings, baskets, pottery, garden art and more.

Food will be available for purchase from vendors as well as food trucks stationed west of the park. A classical guitarist will entertain attendees on the north side of the park throughout the day.

Admission and parking are free.

The Arlington Heights Art Guild was founded in 1971. It promotes and supports art in the community through demonstrations, meetings and networking opportunities, as well as scholarships offered to Township High School Dist. 214 students.

New members are welcome to art guild meetings held at 7:15 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month from September to May at Wheeling Township Hall, 1616 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
